Direct cremation is exactly what it sounds like: the body is cremated in the days following death, without a funeral or memorial service beforehand. It’s the most economical disposition option available, and it gives families the flexibility to hold a memorial, celebration of life, or nothing at all, on their own timeline, rather than being tied to a funeral home’s schedule. 

What’s Actually Included 

Our complete cremation package is $1,500, with a $150 credit for veterans. That includes the $35 medical examiner approval fee and one death certificate. Additional death certificates are $10 each. We’re upfront about pricing from the start, no add-on surprises during an already difficult time. 

Why Families Are Choosing This Option 

Cost is part of it, direct cremation is significantly less expensive than a traditional funeral with viewing, embalming, and a full service. But it’s also about flexibility. Families aren’t locked into a rigid timeline or a service format that doesn’t reflect how their loved one actually lived. A memorial, if the family wants one, can happen whenever and however makes sense to them.
